What is this âPolitical Revolutionâ weâve been hearing so much about lately? Why do we need one now?
And who is it for? Is it just for the youth, the minimum wage earner, the sick, the poor? Is the Political Revolution for you and me?
A few friends making well into the six figures, have argued - we donât need a Revolution, we just need to get back to way things were. I guess they felt comfortable during the Obama years. We could just put the government on autopilot back then, right? Well, I also have friends working two jobs, that donât have the time to pay attention to politics, so theyâre not hearing much about the political revolution from corporate status quo media. So, hereâs a quick worksheet, to discover if, the Political Revolution is for you.
Do you, or anyone you know, struggle with medical bills? Does your health insurance cost you more than 4% of your income above $30,000? Do you have deductibles in your health insurance? Are you stuck in a job just for the health benefits? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.
Will you ever get sick, and want all the health care that youâll ever need? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.

Are you planning on raising children, but both parents will have to work? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.
Are you sick of the endless wars, the death and destruction that the United States has been exporting for decades to the tune of trillions of dollars, with no end in sight? Do you find it reprehensible that Congress just passed a $740 Billion + war budget but almost nothing for working Americans? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.

A guaranteed job with training if you decide to change careers? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.

Do your kids go to overcrowded schools, are you a teacher who makes less than $60,000 a year with a masters, do you see how charter schools prey upon students and care more about money than actually teaching students real world skills? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.
Are you concerned about interference in elections, do you care about free and fair elections, do you want a government of, by, and for, the People? Do you think the government now represents only the rich, and is a de-facto Oligarchy owned by the Billionaire class, and most elected officials serve their political donors, PACs and lobbyists? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.
Do you think itâs fair that Michael Bloomberg and the 400 richest people in this country pay a lower tax percent than everyone else and especially you? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.
Do you think that America has a mass murder problem? That we need to protect our students and each other from senseless gun violence, freedom from the fear of being massacred in a public place? Well then the Political Revolution, is for you.
Do you think that all of us need a say in our economy, which should be democratically set up? Do you think markets should serve the People and our needs, instead of it all going to a few rich families like the Waltons or Bezos? Do you believe that corporations should be held accountable for their fuck-ups, like BPâs oil spill, or drug companies selling as many pills as possible to ghost towns? Do you think we need democracy in the workplace, like worker co-operatives and employee governance on corporate boards? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.
Are you concerned that youâll never retire? Do you know anyone who is still working into their 60âs, or do you know loved ones who have retired or had to go back to work, because Social Security pays barely enough to eat? Are you concerned that everything you love, your family, your kids, your parents, your friends, will be swallowed by rising sea levels, hurricanes, or will die from starvation? Are you concerned about Koalas and almost 50% of all wildlife going extinct in the past few years? How about a concern for the lungs of the earth engulfed in flames to choke us all with pollution? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.
Are you aware or concerned that many right-wing, authoritarian, murderous regimes are seizing power for themselves through military coups of violence and oppression, destroying democracies across the world, and our government has no response? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.
Are you someone who struggles, or suffers, or feels despair? Are you in need of mental health services but theyâre not covered by your insurance or you canât afford it? Well then, the Political Revolution is for you.
If you answered yes to even one question, I have some great news. The Political Revolution, is for you.
But maybe, you answered no to all of those questions. My final question: are you concerned about the needless suffering that millions of Americans endure on a daily basis? We find ourselves in a time of massive despair for millions of Americans, who face their own personal Armageddon, their personal end-times, on a daily basis. For those People, we need to bring the Political Revolution. Our country is founded on People caring about each other. We all depend on the well being of others for a strong society. And our Countryâs Soul is made up of about 330 million souls. We are all part of that, too. Collectively we make up this Countryâs Soul - and thatâs our Soul, too.
So the Political Revolution is for each of us and each other. This is what Solidarity means. This is what the fist in the air means. Solidarity, with each other, because we all share our Countryâs Soul. Your struggle becomes my struggle. My struggle becomes yours. We are all united in Solidarity for a better world.
In times of enormous historical significance such as these, it is up to US to be the change that we need, and to bring everyone with us. There is only ONE candidate BEGGING US to organize as our passion project, to get everyone involved, for the Political Revolution. THIS Political Revolution, is for everyone.
Now comes the naysayers. We have other things to be concerned with - the [r]epublicans have hijacked the White House. We just need to win and beat [t]rump. We will win. That is the goal.
But how we get there, is through the Political Revolution, that brings millions of new Americans into the political process. Remember, most Americans didnât vote in the last presidential election. These people have felt left behind by the political system. Or if youâre the person who voted for the âlesser of two evils.â Anyone who thinks, âit doesnât matter who I vote for.â Well, for once, it actually does matter who you vote for. The Political Revolution, is for you.
And we organize the Political Revolution, and we organize deeply. We care for each other, we make personal connections, we share our stories, our commitments, our visions for a better world that fulfills all of our human needs and then some. We learn each otherâs skills and talents. And we even do the boring things like making excel spreadsheets of everyone we come in contact with, and relentlessly begging them to come to events for the Political Revolution.
We beat back despair and fight for something that we love - our common vision of a future where all of us are cared for and empowered, where everyone is entitled to Justice for All, for equality, for peace, for opportunity, for being the best we can be. And ultimately, we share the common Pure Joy of community, of being who we are supposed to be, of looking into a world of darkness but being the beacons of light. For a Political Revolution, for all of us.
For once in a lifetime, we finally have a candidate with a 30+ year of a consistent voting record, who has fought for the same working platform for decades, who is incorruptible, pure, honest, authentic, trustworthy, loving, caring, a fighter, a leader, and a visionary. It is the wise old person willing to plant millions of trees whose shades they will never sit in. For all this time, Bernard Sanders has had us on his shoulders, carrying us. We owe it to him to dedicate the next few months of our lives to getting him elected. My personal journey has led me to run for Congress in New Jersey. We all have to find our role.
And now, over the course of the next few months, just a mere thread in the fabric of time, we have a brief window of opportunity to change the course of history. We can elect a true Peopleâs champion to the White House, for the first time in nearly 100 years, that wonât turn their back on us in the back rooms. In fact there wonât be any back rooms. That wonât forget about our movement, but will continue to grow it and lead it to every single town in the nation.
Bernie Sanders is the only candidate promising a Political Revolution, for the People of this great Country. Bernie Sanders is the candidate for Americaâs Soul. Bernie is the candidate for you, for me, for our loved ones, and for ALL OF US.
To the America that I believe in: the Political Revolution, is for you.
